Still Learning After All These Years
I’m now Retired from 43 years handling a multitude of claims in Commercial, Personal Lines, Benefits lines etc. A friend recommended this Podcast to several of us and I try not to miss any episodes. Factual, interesting and thoroughly enjoyable! I recently listened to the episode about the BSA and while this is such a disgusting situation I listened and learned quite a bit about this case and the “cast” of Insurance carriers. I agree that’s it’s time to pay up and move forward. This podcast is well worth anyone’s time even if you are not yet in your mid 70’s and an Insurance Geek such as myself. Thank you.
Great
From a broker in the UK, it’s a great listen
Intelligent, well researched pod with an interesting insurance insight
Having listened to some other podcasts about the Hulk Hogan v gawker litigation, most of those were very disappointing and glossed over essentials. This one was the opposite, well researched, well balanced and intelligent and with the additional insight of a former underwriter.
Satisfied
Sooo good!! Love this podcast and am so grateful to have stumbled upon it :)
Fascinating history
Thoroughly researched and clearly articulated in its presentation. Not just for insurance people at all. Look around you, virtually every thing you see is insured and the history of insurance is how it got there.
Outstanding
“They” say, “Follow the money “. I say, follow this podcast. You will be amazed!
Insurance geeks and history buffs UNITE!
I’m new to insurance and am, frankly, a little burned out on reading. I mean, not since college have I read so much. And, although I know it’ll be a big part of the rest of my career, I wanted to see if there was a podcast that I could listen to in the car where I could passively learn “insurance stuff”. After listening to a few other podcasts I stumbled on this one and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I think this is a great pod for newbies like me and seasoned pros who maybe need a few new stories under their belt or just enjoy history. I love how thoroughly researched each episode is and am looking forward to listening to each episode. The fact that information on different coverages is woven into each episode is exactly what I was looking for and absolute perfection. Normally I’d have a criticism or suggestion but I have nothing. It’s a really good podcast and I hope creating it is as much fun as it is listening to it.
Makes insurance interesting
Highly recommend - does a great job of explaining insurance in a super interesting and compelling way.
Great quality podcast
I thoroughly enjoy the writing and the topics. If you enjoy finances or history, I would highly recommend this podcast!
Excellent
Thank you for your pod keep it up
Amazing insurance lessons
I’m an insurance professional, and this podcast is the best insurance podcast I’ve ever listened to. Most insurance podcasts focus on interview of industry leaders talking about one subject or another. It invariably turns to self promotion or business speak. However, this pod is nothing like that!!! It’s so interesting, well written, well researched, full of important lessons from history of how insurance evolved, which makes it easier even for people who are learning about the inner workings of insurance to understand how the complex industry that exists today came to be, step by step. Congratulations on an amazing pod, and keep up the great work! Really hope this podcast goes on for a long long time!!!
Excellent podcast series!
Thankfully, and finally, there is an increasing awareness of the interrelationship of insurance and history. This podcast does a great job of highlighting and explaining this interrelationship.
